ant farm sculpture (50 cm x 50 cm)

Something moves behind the glass. Tiny dots trampling a 4000 year old maze widely recognized as Cretan labyrinth. Inspired by nature and the cosmos, it is resurrected to put fugueurs to rest and invite the banned ones for profound walking.

A hand-laid stone mockup of the labyrinth emerged in hotel gardens to please the interest of wellness travelers. Accountants run their calculations and rewrite serenity in units. Numbers placed, fractions begin to feed greedy pockets.

One more insignificant purchase from the office décor department. Some plastic ant farm glitters and calls a corporate desk its home.

Eyes move by, piercing the small dot colony. Grain approaches a sister passing by. Sanctity melts in time and evolves into a limb of the production apparatus. The last task for the day is to embellish a hoary paper with words: if you are well, all is well, and I am well too.

A wooden-framed sand garden with a spiral Cretan labyrinth pattern. The smooth sand and curved lines create a calming and meditative atmosphere. Close-up of a small black ant walking in a narrow groove of ribbed, sandy-textured material. The scene conveys a sense of scale and simplicity. Close-up of a small black ant on a sandy surface, with light streaming in, creating a soft, hazy atmosphere. The mood is serene and detailed. Close-up of an ant climbing the side of a textured, sandy surface. The image focuses on the ant's dark body against the light, granular background. A wooden table holds a framed labyrinth design with a crack in it. A white paper labeled OUT OF ORDER rests beside it, conveying a sense of disrepair. An art installation in a minimalist room with a table and a stack of vintage TVs displaying neon lines. The weathered wall and wooden floor add a rustic feel.
